National Parks in Hungary
Hungary is in the heart of Europe. Official language is hungarian we call it magyar.
Population is about 10 millions and the capital city is Budapest.
Our national flag is red for power, white for loyality and green for hope.
In our country we have flatlands and hills, but not high mountains, our highest cliff is only 1014 m high.
In our country we have 10 national parks and many attractions on world heritages or Unesco list for instance:
Pécs, Budapest, The Puszta (Hortobágy National park) , Lake Fertő,
Pannonhalma (wich has an abbey) , Hollókő and The Tokaj Wine Region.

Fertő-Hanság national park is the national park we will talk about in details.
Danube-Ipoly national park is the closest to our town.
Danube-Dráva national park is close to the border to Serbia.
Balaton-uplands national park is on the northern shore of lake Balaton.
Őrség national park is the youngest in Hungary.
Bükk national park is the north of Hungary in the mountains.
Aggtelek national park is the smallest but it has a beautiful cave.
Hortobágy national park is the oldest and the closest to Debrecen.
Körös-Maros national park is in the south-east of Hungary.
Kiskunság national park is the second oldest and was created in 1975.
Now we introduce Fertő-Hanság National Park.
It is second smallest national park in Hungary.
It is in the north-west at the border of Austria.
It was created in 1991 and Lake Fertő is a third largest lake in Central Europe.
Because of the shallow level of water and steady wind, the size and the shape of the lake changes very often.
The area gives home to various kinds of plants and animals.
